It’s a whole new year — and that means there’s more time and peace of mind to plan more holidays (aka an excuse to look up more destinations to go to and resorts to stay in, well, just cause). So if your New Year’s Resolution just so happens to be to travel out of your comfort zone, you’re in luck — we’re hoping this review of My Beach Resort Phuket will leave an impression amongst all the other thoughts on your mind (the competition is strong, but we have our fingers crossed).
For starters, just in case you’ve never step foot in Phuket, there are mainly two kinds of Phuket travelers: People who come here to lounge by the beach, have drinks, and PARTY all night (Patong Beach is notoriously known for that) or people who literally come here to do nothing but relax — but hey, we can sorta do both. Watch. But today, we’re the latter — and here’s why you should pick My Beach Resort Phuket for it.
Just to give you a brief spatial idea, My Beach Resort is an hour ride from Phuket International Airport (you can opt for Airport Transfer with us), away from the buzzing side of town. You’ll pass some busy traffic, dirt roads, some tiny streets that will lead you up to this beauty. It may not be a HUGE high-rise resort building but we’re all about luxe minimalism these days anyway. The one thing you’re sure to notice upon arrival is the lobby view. Behold…
There will probably be two types of reactions to this: 1. You gasp and compliment the blue sky and the ocean view. You take endless Insta-stories of it. 2. You do none from number one. If you’re number two, then we’re not quite sure where this relationship is going…
As for the hotel staff, they are super helpful and friendly. If you’re looking for suggestions on things to do, places to go, restaurants or spas nearby, they would gladly provide insight.
Now, on to the breakfast!
First of all, it’s by the pool that’s by the ocean — talk about two birds with one stone. You can opt to sit inside or outside.
But you’ll find us outside, duh — we didn’t come all the way to not sit by the pool.
What’s your go-to hotel breakfast? Ours is cereal, coffee, omelette, and juice, in no particular order. The breakfast coffee here is also definitely worth a mention.
No worries honey, we didn’t forget to mention they have a bar too. Of course it’s by the beach where you can watch the sunset, as you deserve only the best.
The sunset may or may not lead you to ascend to a higher level, spiritually.
Okay, now, onto the most exciting part — the rooms.
We’re not freaking out, you’re freaking out.
But if that’s not private enough for you…
This is the Private Pool Beach-front Room.
