Easy Insta-worthy recipes to try at home

The days of the week still remain as a foreign concept — gel nails have been peeled, bangs have been cut, and hair overgrown. If you’re over your own cooking, we feel you. But for once, we actually have all the time in the world — so if you’d like to jazz things up in the kitchen, try out these recipes!

Disney Park churros

Disney Park recently released their Churros recipe and we had to include it because Churros are underrated and they deserve the crisp and sweet spotlight!

Here’s how you make it. You’ll need:

½ cup water
4 Tbsp butter (60g)
¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp cinnamon powder
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs
1½ cup oil
For dusting:
½ cup sugar
1 Tbsp cinnamon powder

Method:

1.
Combine the water, butter, salt, and cinnamon in a large pot and bring it to a boil. Then reduce it to low heat.
2.
Add flour and stir vigorously until the mixture forms a ball. Remove it from heat and let it rest for 5 to 7 minutes.
3.
Add eggs, one at a time, and stir until combined. Set aside.
4.
Heat oil in a pot until the temperature reaches 170 degrees celsius.
5.
Spoon your dough into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe 15cm long strips of dough over a saucepan, cut with scissors, and let it drop into the hot oil. Repeat until churro bites fill the pot.
6.
Fry the churro bites on all sides until golden brown.
7.
Drain churro bites onto a paper towel.
8.
Mix sugar and 1 Tbsp of cinnamon powder in a bowl. Toss the churro bites in and shake until coated. Place onto a serving plate and serve with dipping sauce of your choice!

Sweet tooth alert! Anything with peanut butter and chocolate chips in the same sentence — is a good sentence. This recipe only takes 20 minutes!

Here’s how you make it. You’ll need:

1 cup of smooth peanut butter
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1/2 tsp of baking soda
A pinch of salt
1 egg
1 tsp of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of chocolate chips

Method:

1.
Preheat your oven to 350°F.

Beat the peanut butter, sugar, baking soda, and salt at medium speed with your mixer, until well-blended.

Add the egg and vanilla, and blend on low-medium speed until incorporated.
4.
Stir in the chocolate chips.
5.
Scoop the dough by the tablespoonful onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and push the top of the dough to flatten just slightly.
