Disney Park recently released their Churros recipe and we had to include it because Churros are underrated and they deserve the crisp and sweet spotlight!

Here’s how you make it. You’ll need:

  • ½ cup water
  • 4 Tbsp butter (60g)
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder
  • 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ cup oil
  • For dusting:
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon powder

Method:

  1. Combine the water, butter, salt, and cinnamon in a large pot and bring it to a boil. Then reduce it to low heat.
  2. Add flour and stir vigorously until the mixture forms a ball. Remove it from heat and let it rest for 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, and stir until combined. Set aside.
  4. Heat oil in a pot until the temperature reaches 170 degrees celsius.
  5. Spoon your dough into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe 15cm long strips of dough over a saucepan, cut with scissors, and let it drop into the hot oil. Repeat until churro bites fill the pot.
  6. Fry the churro bites on all sides until golden brown.
  7. Drain churro bites onto a paper towel.
  8. Mix sugar and 1 Tbsp of cinnamon powder in a bowl. Toss the churro bites in and shake until coated. Place onto a serving plate and serve with dipping sauce of your choice!

  • 1 cup of smooth peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar
