I only have one day in Berlin. Can I still purchase a Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Berlin ticket?

Yes! You can purchase either a one-day, two-day or three-day ticket. Save more when you buy on Traveloka!

Why do I need a Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Berlin ticket?

You can see the city of Berlin at your own pace with the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus tour. It’s perfect if you have a short time in Berlin as the bus takes you around the city, showing off all the famous landmarks as well as popular neighborhoods. You can hop-off at any one of the stops and explore by foot, then hop back on to keep touring!

How often do the buses run?

With buses running every 10 to 20 minutes, you can easily fill a whole day zooming from one spot to the next. From April to October, the buses run from 10am to 6pm  (Yellow line: every 10 minutes; Purple line: every 20 minutes; last departure: 16:00), while from November to March, the buses run from 10am to 5pm (Yellow line: every 15 minutes; Purple line: every 30 minutes, last departure: 15:00).

What do the Yellow and Purple lines mean?

The Yellow Tour will take you through the must-sees of the city. Explore world-renowned places such as the Museum Island and the TV Tower, plus the shopping streets of Kurfürstendamm or Friedrichstraß.

Meanwhile, the Purple Tour takes you into the more historic and trendier parts of Berlin, beyond the city center like Friedrichshain, Prenzlauer Berg, and Kreuzberg. You will also get the chance to see the Berlin Wall Memorial. Combine the two tours, and you’ll get a complete sightseeing experience in Berlin!

So, which one should I choose?

If you only have a day to spend in Berlin, we’d recommend getting the Yellow Tour ticket as you’ll be able to see the popular landmarks. But, if you have a few days and want to see more of Berlin, definitely get on the Purple Tour bus! Do note though, that the ticket is valid only on the selected date.

I have kids. Do they get on for free?

Good news! Children aged under 6 years old may board free of charge.

How do I redeem the ticket?

Easy peasy! Simply show the Traveloka voucher on your smartphone to the bus driver. But be sure to redeem your voucher at least 90 minutes before closing time. You can get on the bus at any stop. Just look out for the yellow double-decker bus with the word “Hop-On Hop-Off Bus” on it.

So, is it worth it?

If you want to save time and only want to visit the popular landmarks, then yes, it’s definitely worth it! This also means that if you’re the spontaneous-type of traveler (or last-minute, we won’t judge!),  this will be a great option. You get to choose your own itinerary, have the freedom to plan your own time and hop-off the bus at any stop that catches your attention! Once you get off the bus, you’re free to roam at your own pace and when you get tired, simply hop-on the bus again. It’s truly one of the most convenient ways to explore the historical city of Berlin!

Pro tip: If your hotel is located near the Hop-on Hop-off Bus stop, you can save even more as you might not even need to use public transportation. Ka-ching! 💰💰💰
